In Affectionate Remebrance of / Sarah Ellen / the beloved daughter of / Joseph and Louisa Bird / who died November 3rd 1881 / aged 2 years and 10 months. / Also Corpl Arthur William Bird / 2/5 West Yorks Regt / the beloved husband of / Jennie Bird / and son of the above / who was killed in action in France / July 20th 1918 aged 33 years./ Also the above named / Joseph Bird / who died July 8th 1923 aged 69 years / Also the above named / Louisa Bird / died June 13th 1941 / aged 88 years.

Arthur William Bird is buried in the Marfaux British cemetery in France and commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.
