Grave Location and Inscription:

In Loving Memory of Fred / the beloved husband of Eliza Race/ who passed away August 21st 1933 / aged 52 years  / He lives with me in memory still, / not just today but always will / Also Ernest, son of the above / killed in action in N.W. Europe / June 27th 1944 / aged 28 years / Also Harold, son of the above / died of wounds received in Action / May 7th 1945 aged 25 years

Ernest Race (formerly Heelbeck)  is buried in the La Dileverande War Cemetery Douvres and is commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website. He is commemorated under the name of Ernest Heelbeck.

Harold Race is buried in the Cudworth St John the Baptist Churchyard and is commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission  please note that because Harold is actually buried in Cudworth's cemetery, his gravestone is not a war memorial.
