Horace Ryder is remembered on the St Marys Church Barnsley Combined War Memorial

Horace Ryder is buried in the Godewaersvelde British Cemetery in France (not as listed on the gravestone) and commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.

*the H Ryder at Ration Farm Military Cemetery was in the 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment and was killed on 12 December 1915. We can only assume there was a mix-up when the family were informed.
