In loving memory of / Eveline /  the beloved daughter of / Ernest and Eleanor Milthorpe / who died December 20th 1897 / aged 2 years 10 months /  also Harold son of the above / who died October 26th 1900 /aged 13 months / Gone but not Forgotten  / Also Herbert Milthorpe / the beloved son of the above / fell in action in France July 1st 1916 aged 24 years.

He is also remembered on the Barnsley St Mary's Combined Memorial and on the
Barnsley, Salvation Army Memorial Tablet, Wellington Street  and the Barnsley, Pitt Street Wesleyan, Roll of Honour 

Herbert Milthorpe is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial in Frances and commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.
