C.G. Hinchliffe / Coldstream Guards / killed in France June 19th 1917 / aged 23 years / Duty called, and he was there, / to do his bit and take his share, / his heart was good, his spirit brave, his noble life he freely gave. / also In Loving Memory Of / his eldest son / Wilfred Stanley / Hinchliffe / born November 1st 1890 / died February 12th 1982.

Charles Godfrey Hinchliffe is remembered on the Ingbirchworth Methodist Chapel Roll of Honour WW1.
