Darfield Churchyard Rowland Patterson (served as Phillips)

Rowland Patterson is remembered on his family's gravestone in Darfield Churchyard.

In Affectionate Remembrance of / George / the beloved husband of / Mary Patterson / of Billingley / born September 10th 1863 / died April 22nd 1893 /  also Georgina Immison / Patterson, /  the beloved daughter of the above / who died November 5th 1918 / aged 25 years / also Sergt Rowland Patterson / 2nd Batt Y&L / who was killed in France March 21st 1918 aged 22 years,


He is remembered on the Arras Memorial and commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.


Rowland is remembered on the Middlewood Shrine Doncaster Rd Darfieldand on the Billingley War Memorial, High Street, Billingley and on the Billingley, Methodist Chapel Memorial, High Street, Billingley
