Smeaton / and daughter of Tom & Hannah Shaw / who died Oct. 31st 1919 aged 32 years / also Private Willie Shaw / the beloved son of Tom & Hannah Shaw / killed in action in France Sept. 25th 1917 / aged 23 years / Beautiful memories left behind.
Willie Shaw is also remembered on the Hoyland Nether St Peters Church Memorial Panels and on the Hoyland War Memorial West Street and Kirk Balk.
Willie Shaw is buried in the cemetery of Voormezeele Enclosures # 1 and 2 and is commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website
