In Affectionate Remembrance / Of / Mary Elizabeth / the beloved daughter / Richard & Ann Heathcote / who departed this life 6th Sept. 1880 / aged 23 years / also Edward & Richard / who died in infancy / also the above named / Richard Heathcote / who died February 2?th 1885 / aged 59 years / also the above named / Ann Heathcote / who died November 22nd 1908 / aged 79 years / Not lost but gone home / also Arthur Heathcote, grandson / of the above Ann Heathcote / killed in France Oct. 22nd 1917 / aged 26 years. 

Arthur Heathcote is remembered on the Barnsley Holgate Grammar School Old Boys WW1 Memorial he is also remembered on the Parishioners WW1 Memorial Plaque in Christ Church Ardsley

Arthur Heathcote is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial in Belgium and commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission  website.
