In Forever / Loving memory of / Sam / the dearly beloved son of / Sam and Margaret Petty / who died August 28th 1916 / aged 19 years & 5 months / also Herbert their son / who was killed in France / September 7th 1916 / aged 22 years /also Charles their son / and dearly loved husband of / Florence Petty / who was wounded in France / July 30th 1916 and died  Prisoner / of War September 17th 1916 / aged 26 years & 7 months / "Asleep in Jesus" / also the above named Margraret Petty / who died February 21st 1918, aged 58 years / her life was dedicated to Christ.

Herbert and Charles Graham Petty are remembered on the Worsborough Combined War Memorial St.Thomas and St.James Church Worsborough Dale


Charles Graham Petty is also remembered on the St. Peters Church Memorial Plaque Doncaster Road Barnsley


Charles Graham Petty is buried in the Caudry Old Communal Cemetery in France and commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website

Herbert Petty is buried in the Lonsdale Cemetery Authuille in France and is commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website
